Fondant is pretty easy to use, especially if you buy the pre-made. If you use white fondant, it picks up everything, like sweater fuzz, cake crumbs, etc. If
you do use fondant, all you have to do is roll it out, put it on a rolling pin, then place it on your cake. It is pretty forgiving! All you have to do to make
sure you don't get crumbs in your fondant is to do a crumb layer over your cake, let it dry, the place the fondant so it stays smooth.

I think that Michael's sells pre-made fondant in their cake decorating section. Just call and ask - if they don't, they may be able to point you in the
right direction. Nice thing with fondant too, is that you can put a thin layer of your own frosting choice down and then lay the fondant right over the top of
that. Play with the fondant for a bit though - it can be a little tricky to use. Good luck! We want a picture if you pull it off

Michaels or JoAnne, a lot of places that have hobby and craft stuff carry it in their cake decorating section.

I made ground turkey chili tonight also. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the chili I was looking for. Jovanna you are starting to scare me with how similar
we are!

Coincidentally, my chili recipe is for turkey chili. You can obviously switch out the ground turkey for ground pork or beef if you prefer, but I always use
turkey.

I love ground turkey! I think I just didn't put in the correct "extra" ingredients. Something was missing and it wasn't spicy enough for me
(even though I have heartburn now - pregnancy!)

Or maybe I really did need some beef! Who knows! A good chicken chili recipe would be nice also. Or chicken tortilla soup! I love that stuff!! I tried to find
a recipe online one time - I tried it and it was not even close to what I was looking for.

Well the secret my mom taught me was that when you're using ground turkey in stuff like this, you need to add a little bit of Kitchen Bouquet to it when
you're cooking it. It darkens it up and makes it more robust and almost beefy. Definitely heartier. I am a spice-a-holic, Jeneka. It's kind of my
super-mutant power. Normal humans can't eat what I eat. But obviously all recipes are adjustable in that respect.
Confession: even when my boyfriend is making chili and tells me NOT to season it because he already did, I will sneak back into the kitchen and add shit tons of all of those spices to it. Then when he brags about how fantastic it is, I tell him it's because I snuck back in and seasoned it more. Ha. Every. Single. Time. |

I LOVE IT!! That makes me laugh. I had chili powder and adobo sauce in mine. Plus a little taco seasoning, but that was it. The cayenne pepper would have been
a good one to have though. Probably would have helped. This is the first time I have ever really made homemade chili though. I didn't have a recipe or
anything. I just kind of went with it.

In my opinion, cumin is THE most important seasoning for good chili.

I managed to sweet talk my way into getting the recipe for one of my absolute favorite soups from my favorite restaurant. The recipe below makes a gallon of
soup, but I've been assured it freezes really well.
Tomato Basil Soup 1 64oz. can Tomato Puree 4 cups of water 4 cups of milk 3/4 cups of sugar 1/2 Tablespoon of salt 1/2 Teaspoon of pepper 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil Whisk ingredients together, heat and serve. Enjoy!
