I told you, WW changed the plans. APs aren't deducted until after your weekly flex points now. Which means you can bank them to use later. It's been
working this way since a few weeks before Christmas.

Do Wii's run wirelessly is my other question?

Yes. Mine connects to my wireless router.
I got up for the second day in a row to work out to the Jillian Michaels Wii routine. Holy eff I'm sore! But damn, it feels good. I pushed myself for 5 extra minutes of high intensity and earned an extra AP. So today I earned 4 APs before I even showered! Before I used to even be out of bed! Yesssss! Surely this will pay off eventually. |

So Simon and I decided to join a gym right before Christmas. We checked out all the places locally and have now joined after doing lots of trials. So far
it's going really well. Simon's got some pretty specific weight loss goals but I just can't do it. I rarely weigh myself. This stems from the
fact that I've had tummy troubles for years now and it causes my weight to fluctuate up to 7 or 10 pounds in any given week or so, so I just find it a bit
useless to weigh myself regularly. I just judge my progress by how I feel and how my clothes are fitting. I know it's not as precise but neither would be
my weigh-ins!
Anyway I have made it 5 or 6 days a week for the last 3 weeks. I have to go right after work or else I'll never go, and it helps that I have to drive past the gym on my way home so it makes it hard to get out of it. Every day I've been doing a warm up, 10 minute run, pull ups and dips, shoulder presses, 10 minutes on the eliptical, biceps, triceps, then these two leg weight things one where you press in and the other you press out, and then finish up with 2000m row. After that I go downstairs and swim. Prior to joining the gym this time around I hated swimming. I was absolutely rubbish at it AND I didn't want to wear my swimsuit in public. The first few days I did 4 laps (80m), but now on an average day I'm doing 30 laps (600m). Today (my day off) I did my full workout plus 1000m (that would be 50 laps)! I'm still slow and I can only really do the breatstroke successfully, but now I pretty much love swimming. My motivation to do my full cardio and weights is that I get to swim afterward. In time I'm hoping to get better at the other strokes, but for now I'm happy pottering along with the breaststroke. I've always wanted to do a triathalon but thought that my lack of swimming capabilities would hold me back, but now I'm thinking it's a serious possbility as I've realized that 24 isn't too old to learn how to swim properly. My new problem is that due to my increased excercise levels my appetite is soaring! I'm pretty good with my choices, but I am not used to eating this much. |

I have re-launched my dedication. I can't afford weight watchers.com anymore, but I need some kind of online calculator, so I joined this site -- http://caloriecount.about.com. Hopefully it'll keep me motivated.

Jelly - You can be my personal cheerleader. Meow. ;-)
Kelly - Winter weather certainly is a detractor. I'm hoping to get out and walk more as well. My ipod is loaded...I just need to get out and do it!

Mer, you can come teach me how to swim anytime you want. No laughing though. I'm getting fairly efficient at the breaststroke but I think it's
becoming too easy for me. I'd like to learn how to do freestyle better...currently I make a lot of splash and don't actually move very far, and once
I'm done with one lap I'm absolutely knackered. Definitely need help with that one!
