Katie, I believe the camera my folks got for me is relatively inexpensive as far as dSLRs go. It's a Canon EOS Rebel XS. You should look into it. I effing

I've been thinking about starting Project 365, and so I actually decided to start it today. I figure it's as good a day as any to start. Plus I am home
for the weekend so lots of good photo ops. I'm gonna keep it up on my blog so when I actually get around to posting pictures, I will link you all to it.

I have an acct but I never post anything on there. I tried at one point for TRB pictures and it just ended up pissing me off. I am probably going to do it via
Facebook and my blogspot.
On most days it's going to be hard for me to choose just one picture. I usually take random pictures on my Blackberry daily anyways. So I don't think inspiration is going to be the problem.

I had that problem at first too, Mer. Way too many pics to choose from. It slows down after you've been doing it for a while, though.

I took a ton of pictures today with my mom's dSLR but I settled on a family shot for my picture of the day since we are all together for the first time

I love that picture, Meg! The colors and lighting are fabulous. Not sure if I can tell the difference in the macro filter. Can you do a shot with the lens and
one without of the same thing so I can compare? How do you like them, by the way?
I'm super happy with how my picture turned out today. First time I've tried to capture water droplets with my new camera. Yay!

The only difference between the Macro lens adapter and shooting with your regular lens is that you don't have to stand so close to the object. I've
been having loads of fun with them. They help to make things just a little bit crisper when I'm trying to shoot up close and personal.

I went out this morning/afternoon to take some spring time shots. Here are some of my favorites of the day...... 
Ali.......here is the same plant using the same focal length and aperture but the first is without the macro filter lens and the second is with the same macro filter lens....

Ali! What's the model of your Nikon point and shoot?
Someone help me find a camera. Preferably Canon. Lithium-ion. Nice quality. I'm really considering buying Ali's model right now (whatever model that is) cause of the quality, but then I really want to stay loyal to Canon.
