the series is done.

Oh...and my wonderful parents bought me the three-disc "Twilight" from Target today. I can't wait to dive into it. But I want to finish
"Midnight Sun" first.

Aren't you loving Midnight Sun??? Soon you'll need to read it side-by-side with Twilight to fill in all the gaps.

When I get "Twilight" back from Jo (no rush, girl), I will probably do that. I'm remembering it all well enough to know the lines though. Love
it. I got goosebumps from it earlier. Edward's feelings are so intense. Total fiction, but I love it anyway.

i stayed up last night because there was no way i was going to be able to let Eclipse wait until another day. So i finished it...I LOVE THESE BOOKS!
are those 2 ever gonna do the dirty!!!??? and you're right ali, i do really like jacob. however, i don't think bella really loves him like that. i think she just feels guilty. he's good at making her feel guilty. edward does things over and over again to prove he's the better man. sigh. by the way, am i the only one who relates these characters to my life? i was thinking about it while i was finishing eclipse last night...i had an "edward" in my life (not to extent of the real edward). just a guy who i never felt like i deserved b/c he was waaaaaay good. in every sense of the word. to this day, i still say (even when i'm talking to jeremy) that he is one of the best guys God ever made. jeremy knows him and wouldn't argue with that. and i had "jacob" (a lot of you kinda know my story about that.) however, with my "jacob" it was definitely only friendship on my level. always. which he loved to try and make me feel guilty about. i ended up marrying my perfect mixture of both. the twilight discs, is that just the movie with some cds of extras?

Joanna - Yes, the three-disc special edition has the movie on one disc, special features (a documentary on the making of the movie and deleted scenes) on the
second and bonus features (interview with the author, featurettes on Edward and Bella, a piano concert by Edward and more about the music) on the third.
I'm currently watching the third disc based on Ali's insistence.
And to answer the question in your first paragraph...The sexual tension drives you insane, doesn't it? But be patient "Football is like having a fling once a week. Baseball is a relationship." |

P.S. I would love to hang out with the Cullens. I think Alice and Esme are my favorites, although I like all of them. Even Rosalie. I can kind of understand
her angst.

I love Esme from the books, but I'm not a huge fan of the casting for that particular role in the movie. I LOVE Alice, though. Love her. And Emmett and
Carlisle too.

Eh...I like Elizabeth Reaser, so I can live with the casting. It wasn't how I pictured her, but it's how I picture her now.

I don't mind Elizabeth Reaser, though I do think she has a funny shaped head. But she just wasn't at all what I pictured Esme like. Though, the one
scene of the movie where I really like her in that role, was the one they cut. You'll see it on one of the bonus discs, Micah. It's the scene of her
and Carlisle inside watching Edward carry Bella up the tree after the spider monkey line.

Yeah...I liked that scene. I just watched it a few minutes ago. That was how I pictured Esme's character more. Unfortunately movie editing removed a lot of
the depth in the other Cullens (and necessarily so). I'm wondering if we'll get to see more of them in the coming movies.

Also...Stephenie Meyer isn't really how I pictured her. And she reminds me a lot of the girl who played Audrey on "Dawson's Creek." I think
maybe it's just the way she talks...

I just absolutely adore Stephenie Meyer. Love her. And that interview is gold.

Jo, you should finish Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun before next week and then you can bring the books with you to re-read. Trust me, you missed a TON of stuff
the first time through. They're just as awesome the second time.

i actually think that's what i'm going to do. i can't put these books down!
i am on page 145 of Breaking Dawn. that means i'm about to start the "Jacob" part. WHAT THE?!?! I was NOT expecting everything that's happened so far in this book. i'll be honest, with as much detail as she describes every encounter with him, i thought the dirty parts would be more descriptive. then again, maybe i'm just a perv. DON'T READ THIS PART IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK!!!! The baby!? really? if i'm being completely honest, this part let me down. now everyone knows that i'm a mommy and i am baby crazy. however, this just REALLY complicates things. i know that i don't know the whole story right now so i'm just giving my initial reaction. at first, i was thrilled. then i kinda felt like i was reading a scene from Fringe. then i started to realize that if she had the baby 1) it might kill her 2) she may not ever go through the change b/c she'd want to take care of her baby 3) what are they going to do...change the baby too? a lot of questions. i just don't see how this is going to work. i LOVE bella and edward's relationship and i already see her pulling away from that. i'm really torn!

Jo, just keep reading. Breaking Dawn is a fucking fantabulous book. You are only going to love all of the characters even more after you finish it. Truly.

Haha! Now that you say that, it does sort of remind you a little of an episode or Fringe or something. Keep reading.
Stephenie Meyer is a good Morman woman & holds true to her beliefs in these books & her "young adult" audience. I was actually surprised at how "detailed" she was, in all honesty. I've heard a lot of talk about Breaking Dawn the movie being rated "R" due to its content. As much control as she has over the production of these movies though, she will NEVER let that happen though. Then, according to her beliefs, she wouldn't be allowed to watch her own movie. Of course, I know there are lots of people who don't pay attention to those sorts of rules, but my experience has been that most LDS people really do.
