I uploaded pictures into iPhoto, but I cannot for the life of me find them on my hard disk, other than when I am viewing them through iPhoto. So for example, when I go to view my music from the hard drive, I click music, and it opens up the iTunes folder, not the application, and I am able to view each individual file for each individual song. When I click the pictures tab, it gives me the option of opening the folder with my Photobooth pictures, and to open the iPhoto application. But no option to open whatever folder contains the individual picture files. I have tried what seems to be everything and I am going completely crazy. What the hell am I doing wrong? The only way I can get individual files is if I drag them from the library when the iPhoto application is open. And that is a pain in the ass. Plus, obviously the files have to be somewhere because otherwise how would be able to copy to the desktop? Someone help. Please. On my MacBook I've got those folders and all of the photos automatically get saved in the "Originals" folder, and if I change any of them in iPhoto the modified versions are then saved in "Modified." Or, better yet, run a search for the picture titles. Like mine upload as 100_00 series. So trying something like that might tell you where else they're saving. Like, when i try to trace back the folders, it goes back to iPhoto, but then once I get back to the pictures folder, the only option is to open the iPhoto application. It's so weird and I seriously cannot figure out what the hell is wrong with it. I might take it to a Mac store and just be like FIX THIS!!!! -Marianne Do you want a soooooda?

I normally upload my pictures to my computer using iPhoto but then export them to the file that I want them in. It works for me and then I have an extra copy of the original pictures before I messed with them in photoshop. -Amanda- Myspace Blog!

I mean, Kelly, do you have to export all your photos too? I know my dad's Mac, which I have used numerous times in the past, doesn't require that. It's so weird, I wonder if it's an error with my iLife package. I think I'm going to call the Mac store tomorrow, just to see what they say. They're all in the "originals" folder. But I usually export them anyway. I'm really anal retentive and like to have everything very clearly labeled and filed, so I make my own folders. I guess I like extra work. Yeah, I'd say call the Apple store or help line. That's pretty fucked up. They should just be there. I guess I'm confused about that part. You should be able to find all of your pictures that are in iPhoto by going into Finder, clicking on Pictures, clicking on the iPhoto Library folder, and then they should be separated into folders labeled by year, then month, then day that you uploaded them into iPhoto. Does that help? If not, give me some more info as to what you're trying to do. I should be able to help. Bubba

When I go to choose a file to upload, there are no folders in my "pictures" tab. There is only the iPhoto application. I have a day off on Tuesday though, so I think I'm gonna sleeeeeeeeeep in, and head on over to the Mac store in the afternoon. It makes no sense that the computer is doing what it's doing. Especially when I can run a search for the files and find them, but their location disappears when I try to backtrack. So hopefully it's easily fixable! When I edit them to the way I want them in iPhoto, I drag the photos out to the desktop or to a new folder on the desktop before I upload. Then you'll see the pictures easily when you want to upload them online. After you do that, you can just dump them in the trash because you will still have the originals saved in iPhoto. Make sense? I have no answers, though. When I click on my pictures tab, I've got my iPhoto Library folder showing up and I can click on that and find my pictures based on when I uploaded them. Did you get AppleCare when you got your computer? If so, call them and maybe they can talk you through fixing it. Bubba

I'm running both Safari but mainly Firefox for interweb browsing. Do I need anti spyware? Also, my clicker on my track pad has gone LOUD. When I click it on the right hand side, you hear the definite click. Almost as if it's catching on something. Not so bad if I click in the middle. Spank you very much in advance for advice.
