I made a thread about this on L83 last night, I just didn't want to post here too and have everyone think I'm being redundant...
Ok. I'm 27. And I am the biggest 14 year old ever. I have these books... they are good fluffy summer reads. I always wanted to be a spoiled, rich, New York girl. Seriously. This show is going to be my new crack. Not that I'm ON crack or anything but if I was this would be better. I liked the OC so when I heard that the creator from that was doing this I was excited - I was afraid that if anyone else did it they would pre-teen it down. However, all drinking, sex, and drug use are in full effect. This warms my heart. lol. Since I've read the books I imagined the characters differently - Serena really should be prettier, Jenny should be plainer and chubbier... But they were pretty dead on with everyone else. Blair is perfect. I'll stop now. God, I'm a dork. That's it! My title should be "Anonymous Gossip Girl" Kidding.   |

I think I'm going to like this show. It's going to fill the void that was left when 90210 and later with the O.C. went off the air. I recognized several actors in the show from other shows/movies I've seen. It's like the O.C meets Cruel Intentions.

I think I loved it.
I'm with kissyfitt... I didn't picture Jenny as pretty as they made her. (Hi, Cindy Lou from the Jim Carey version of The Grinch?) Penn makes a a good Dan. I thought he was going to be too pretty to be Dan, but he fits nicely. I'm excited for the show to get more into the stories. It'll start picking up. |

There was a giant ANTM gathering in the lounge last night. After ANTM ended, only like 8 of us stayed to watch Gossip Girl. Yeah, I totally love it. The acting is pretty bad, and it's fabulous. I watched it for Penn Badgley (whom I've been obsessed with since Do Over first aired in 2002), and I'll continue watching for him. He's dreamy. But, uh, yeah... I'm gonna be a dork and spend my Wednesday nights watching mindless TV in my dorm's lounge, haha.
For old time's sake!  Circa 2005 at the promo shoot for the failed Bedford Diaries. Dear lord, he's amazingly good looking. And a stoner to boot. Or maybe he's just REALLY out of it. Either way, that's ok. Princess Kelly

Penn was in "John Tucker Must Die" (awe, the teenie in me LOVES this movie so much). He was sporting the Mayer do in it too.

He's cute in general! I like his hair a little longer than it currently is, but not in the full on curly Mayer 'do. I've been obsessed with Penn for the last 5 years or so. I remember having a picture of him from a magazine in my locker in 7th or 8th grade, haha. He's dreamy! He'll be 21 on November 15th, I believe. And I totally watched John Tucker Must Die just for him... and then quickly realized that that's actually a funny movie.
